Smallworld Acp's are usually developed in C or Java , a few years ago I created small library that allows creating them in .NET.

I'm making this lib available with source code and a small example, fell free to download it here and use it at will.

Four years ago, a few months later after my previous post, I accepted an offer to become a Senior Consultant for an international company implementing and deploying Smallworld GIS systems across the globe hence the long-time state of coma if this blog.

More recently I had the unrefusable offer to join the GE Smallworld core team and decided to reinit() this blog from his lethargic sleep.

I hope to be able to start updating it with some wicked magik code and with some non-confidential inside news.

One of the cool thing about magik is that it allows you a lot of control, you are able to do almost anything in magik as it is a very dynamic language, here’s a method that redefines itself as a constant….we used to call it coding “a la Shaw’s”, tribute to one of our ancient mentors :)

YA auto merge

As stated by fellow "magikcians" in the comments there is another, not so simple, but more powerful and tuned way for auto-merging, using the actual_alternatives() method.
I advise looking up for the method keys_and_values parameters on smallworld help or class browser before using it. Never the less, I post a simple example of how to use it:
